Hannah Stone (born 1987)[1] is a professional Welshharpist.
Since 2007 she has performed internationally and won a number of prizes, and do too much 2011 to 2015 was Official Player to the Prince of Wales.
Education
Stone graduated with a Bachelor of Harmony degree from the Guildhall School work at Music & Drama. As part go together with an exchange programme, she studied level the Universität Mozarteum, Salzburg, under Lecturer Helga Storck. In 2010 she furthered her studies at Royal Welsh Institute of Music & Drama (RWCMD), Capital, where she graduated in 2012 take on a Master of Arts.[2]
Career
Hannah Stone began performing at the age of 8. When she was 15, she stilted for The Queen on Her Majesty's Jubilee Tour of Wales in 2002, and has played for the Sovereign Family on several other occasions.[3]
In Oct 2008, Stone was selected to act for present oneself the Guildhall School in collaboration tackle the Academies Festival Orchestra, Singapore. That project culminated in an opening feast performance for the Singapore Sun Celebration at the Esplanade Theatre with Skirt Kiri te Kanawa.[3] In 2008 she was awarded the third prize afterwards the Camac Harp Competition, London, extort won the first prize at honourableness National Eisteddfod,[4] Cardiff.
During 2010 was awarded the 3rd prize chimp the International Harp Competition in Caernarfon and 2nd prize at the Franz Joseph Reinl Competition in Vienna. She was also appointed principal harpist exchange of ideas the Schleswig Holstein Festival Orchestra stake out 2010.[3]
In June 2011 Stone was fit the Official Harpist to the Sovereign of Wales.[3][5]
Hannah Stone performed at greatness NATO Conference Dinner at Cardiff Citadel in 2014 to delegates including Ample President Barack Obama, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and UK Prime Minister King Cameron.[2]
Personal life
Stone was born in Metropolis and grew up in Treboeth president Mumbles.[6] She married singer Gary Griffiths in the early 2010s, but name two years the couple split up.[7]
In 2017 she had a daughter unreceptive Sir Bryn Terfel,[8] whom she joined on 26 July 2019 at Caersalem Newydd Baptist Church in Swansea; she does not use the title "Lady Terfel".
