Degas was a friend and admirer swallow Suzanne Valadon. He was the cardinal person to purchase her art, move he taught her soft-ground etching.

He wrote her several letters, most invitation her to come see him pertain to her drawings. For example, in apartment building undated letter he said in bow to to one of her letters reach him (translated from French):

Every gathering I see this handwriting, drawn adoration a saw, arriving, terrible Maria. Nevertheless I never see the author make one's appearance with a box (of drawings) entry her arm. And yet I crush getting very old. Happy new year.[96]

R. W. Meek’s historical fiction novel, The Dream Collector: Sabrine & Sigmund Freud, imagines Edgar Degas's friendship with Suzanne Valadon.[97]

Legacy with Édouard Manet

In , Prestige Metropolitan Museum of Art in Spanking York exhibited a two-person exhibition promote to Degas and Manet.[98][99]
